The Global AIM conference will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, 1 Aguiyi Ironsi Street,
Maitama, Abuja.

2. 🗣Language
The conference will be conducted in English.
3. 📝Registration
Registration for the meeting will be done online at the designated IFAIMA website. Onsite
registration at the meeting venue will take place from 0800 hours on the 27th of May 2025.
4. 🗓General Assembly
The 18th General Assembly will take place on the 26th of May 2025. Venue will be communicated to
members in due course.
5. 🌡️Weather and Clothing
Abuja temperatures are between 31 to 35 degrees Celsius during this period. Comfortable clothing is
advised.
6. 💉Health
– Vaccination
- Delegates are informed that a valid vaccination certificate against yellow fever is required for
entry into the country.
– Health Declaration Form
- All delegates are advised to complete the Health Declaration Form. The form can be completed
before departure or upon arrival at https://healthapp.ncdc.gov.ng. It is strongly advised to complete the form before departure (and keep a copy) to ensure a smooth process at
immigration.
7. 💳Banks
Banks and ATMs are located within the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. The banks are open from 08:00
hours to 16:00 hours from Monday to Friday. International credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) are
accepted at most of the recommended hotels.
8. ⚡Electricity
The electricity wattage is between 220-240 Volts at a frequency of 50 hertz.
9. 🔌Socket Type
The standard socket type for electricity outlet is the Type G (rectangular three-pin, UK type).
10. ⏰Time Zone
West Africa Standard Time zone in Nigeria (GMT+1).
11. 📞Telephones
Worldwide direct connections are available in Nigeria, using the international code. The Nigerian
international dialling code is +234. Four mobile phone operators – Airtel, MTN, Glo Mobile, and
9Mobile, offer a wide range of telecom and internet services across the country.
12. 🔒Security
Abuja is a generally safe city. However, as in many large cities, it is advisable to check with the hotel
reception or the Local Organizing Committee regarding security within the surrounding areas before
going out without a guide who is familiar with the environment. It is also advisable to use taxis or
transport arranged by the hotel reception to visit shopping malls, go sightseeing, or travel for any
other purpose.
13. 🚌Transportation
Transportation will be available for delegates from Abuja airport to the recommended hotels upon
arrival in Abuja. Bus shuttles from the recommended hotels to and from the meeting venue will be
provided during the event.
Delegates who stay in non-recommended hotels will be required to make their transportation
arrangements.
Transportation will also be available for delegates arriving at the Murtala Muhammed International
Airport (MMIA), Lagos to the Domestic Airport(s) for their onward journey to Abuja Domestic
Airport.
Please note: Registered delegates must complete this form for transportation purposes no
later than Sunday 4th May 2025.
14. 📄Entry Visa
Entry visas are required by all delegates except for Citizens of the Economic Community of West
African States (ECOWAS) member states and countries with which Nigeria has entered into visa
abolition agreements. The recommended visa type to apply for is the Business visa – F4A.
– Visas at the Embassy/High Commission
- Delegates who require visas should, therefore, obtain their entry visas from the nearest
Embassy/High Commission maintained by the Government of Nigeria. Visa information can be
found here - Alternatively, the applications can be completed online via the official website of the Nigerian
Immigration Service for visas at the embassies: https://visa.immigration.gov.ng/. - In applying for a visa, it is advisable to produce the letter of invitation from IFAIMA and the
Local Organizing Committee, together with other documents that may be required by the
Embassies. It is important to apply for visas well in advance. - Please request the letter of invitation from IFAIMA and a visa support letter from
ifaima.eb5@gmail.com.
– Visa on Arrival
- Delegates can make use of the visa on arrival route by completing their applications via the
official website of the Nigerian Immigration Service for visa on arrival: https://voa.immigration.gov.ng/ - Delegates who applied for Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) should make all the necessary payments
online and send evidence of payment/acknowledgement to the Local Organizing Committee via
this form to facilitate the process. - Detailed information about the visa on arrival and documentations required can be found here.
Note: Delegates should note that VOA is applicable only within 2 weeks of their arrival to
Nigeria.
- Delegates who wish to use the visa-on-arrival service must complete their conference
registration and complete this form on or before 4th May 2025.
- An electronic travel authorization will be sent to delegates once the visas are approved.
